Chapter 206
A few days later, the scenes involving the two little cubs were completed.
The entire crew really liked these twins. If it weren’t for Ya Li’s strict ban on secretly stuffing snacks for them, Xiao Roubao would have been able to gain a few pounds from them these days.
In just a week’s time, Director Chen and Xiao Roubao had developed a deep bond. The two of them stuck together all day, with Xiao Roubao often sitting on his lap. They were almost like old friends, despite the age difference. Xiao Roubao’s optimistic and lively personality, along with his sweet talk, made him easy to get along with. Coupled with his natural acting talent, who wouldn’t like such a child?
On the other hand, Xiao Tangyuan has a shy personality, and Zhuzi protected her very well. Everyone likes her, but they only admire the little princess from afar and don’t dare to tease her much.
On the day they wrapped up, Director Chen was reluctant to part with them. He personally carried Xiao Roubao outside.
“Remember to come back and visit Uncle Chen with your Aunt Ya Li when you have time. Uncle Chen will always welcome you. If Uncle Chen needs you for a role in the future, you must come and help Uncle, okay?”
Xiao Roubao, who was hugging Director Chen’s neck, nodded. “Yes, we are good buddies. My big brother said that for a good friend, you can take a knife to the ribs. I will definitely help you!”
Director Chen’s mouth twitched, but he didn’t refute him. He took out two red envelopes from his pocket, giving one to Xiao Roubao and the other to Xiao Tangyuan. “Goodbye then. When the movie is released, I’ll send you tickets.”
The two cubs politely thanked Uncle Chen.
Xiao Roubao beamed, “Uncle Chen, I have many good friends in kindergarten. Remember to send me more tickets.”
Director Chen rubbed the little guy’s head and said, “Okay, I’ll give you as many as you need.”
Director Chen also gave them two bags of snacks and reluctantly watched the car drive away before turning back.

Gu Zhanwang had already arranged all their flight tickets. The flight time from Shanghai was not ideal, with the flight taking off at 8 p.m. and arriving around 10 p.m. Han Cheng had told Yang Lin the flight number in advance so he could borrow a car to pick them up, as there would likely be no public transportation at that time.
Since the two older cubs were able to help carry luggage and Xiao Doubao could take care of his younger brother, Su Xiaoxiao found traveling much easier. The men carried the heavy bags, sweating heavily, while she held Xiao Tangyuan, feeling fresh and light.
Su Xiaoxiao, feeling sorry for her children, offered to carry some luggage. “Let me carry a bit too.”
The two older boys avoided her offer. Fantuan said, “As long as I’m here, there’s no reason for Mom to carry any luggage.”
Zhuzi said, “Yes, Aunt Su, just take care of our sister and make sure no one bumps into her.”
Han Cheng carried the largest piece of luggage, protecting Su Xiaoxiao from behind. She was surrounded so well by them that no one could get close to her.
‘Who could bump into her? ’
This feeling of being protected by the children she had raised was truly wonderful.
Since it was the children’s first time flying in a plane, they were naturally very excited, especially Xiao Doubao. Knowing he was going to fly into the sky today, he was so excited that he hadn’t slept well the night before.
The plane moved on the ground for over ten minutes before gradually ascending into the sky. The cubs watched from the window as the pedestrians and buildings below grew smaller until they completely vanished. Finally, there were only tiny spots of starlight left, and even though it was pitch black outside, they still couldn’t tear their eyes away.
Probably all children have a dream about flying when they are young, and Xiao Doubao is no exception. He had mentioned wanting to fly in the sky when he was little. During turbulence, he leaned on his mother’s hand and asked, “Mom, this plane is amazing; it can fly so high. But I think it’s a bit noisy, not very pretty, and it moves a lot. When I grow up, I want to design a plane as stable as a train to take you all up to the sky to see the clouds. Is there a university for that? Can I go to such a university?”
Su Xiaoxiao was very surprised. Xiao Doubao is only eight years old and has found his dream so quickly. However, children’s ideas always changed. When Fantuan was little, he sometimes wanted to be a military doctor like his father, sometimes he wanted to be a mighty regimental commander like his Uncle Zhao leading troops into battle, and other times he wanted to be a police officer catching bad guys… Up until now, he still hadn’t decided what he wanted to do.
But this was the first time Xiao Doubao had expressed what he wanted to be when he grew up.
It should be said that everyone has a dream of space. The kids in the family were all very intelligent. Science and technology are what strengthen the country, and if they could become high-end talents contributing to the nation, Su Xiaoxiao would be more than happy.
“Of course, there are such universities. Aerospace universities have people who design planes and people who learn to fly them. As long as it’s something Xiao Doubao likes, Mommy will fully support you. I think Xiao Doubao is very suited to researching and designing airplanes. If you really like it, you can ask Dad to find some related books for you. He can also make airplane models for you.”
Xiao Doubao’s big eyes sparkled with anticipation as he looked at Han Cheng. “Dad, is that true?”
Han Cheng nodded and said, “Of course it’s possible. Dad will find it for you when we return to the capital.”
Xiao Doubao nodded repeatedly. “Mm-hmm, I’ll definitely study airplanes well!”
After saying this, Xiao Doubao touched the backrest and armrest of the seat, looking very interested.
Su Xiaoxiao patted her child’s head. It was really an unexpected result that Xiao Doubao found his interest on his first plane ride. Whether they could be realized or not, dreams were always worth having.

Yang Nanhuai and his wife waited early at the entrance of the dormitory. When they saw Han Cheng and his wife returning with the children, they burst into tears in an instant. Though their daughter was no longer with them, their grandson was being well taken care of by Han Cheng and his wife, and he would have an even better future.
The Yang family’s house was too small to accommodate so many people, so they arranged for Han Cheng’s family to stay at the school’s guest house. Han Cheng had the children accompany the two elderly people while he took Su Xiaoxiao around Shanghai.
Su Xiaoxiao looked at this city, which she had visited countless times in her previous life. It has always been bustling and lively, and no matter what era it was, it is one of the cities that combines the best sense of history and modernity. In an instant, Su Xiaoxiao felt as if time had shuttled back and forth over several decades. Everything had changed, yet it also seemed as if nothing had changed. Perhaps heaven had pity on her loneliness and allowed her to return to decades earlier, giving her a more complete and perfect life.
Su Xiaoxiao’s family did not stay in Shanghai for long, and four days later they set off back to Sujia Village.
This time, the flight was during the day. The plane soared into the clouds, and from above, the layers of clouds presented a view the children had never seen before. Xiao Doubao showed immense love for the big plane, further solidifying his determination to design better planes.
Xiao Tangyuan said that Cotton Candy (their puppy) could be renamed Baiyun (clouds), as clouds looked softer, sweeter, and prettier than cotton candy.
The children gazed out at the clouds for the entire flight.
They arrived in Duancheng around noon. After a hurried lunch, they continued their journey to Sujia Village, taking an entire day to travel even by plane, finally reaching the county town by evening.
In reality, it had been less than two years since their last visit, but to Su Xiaoxiao, it felt like a very long time.
Setting foot on familiar ground, the summer heat waves radiated from the sun-baked floor; this was the southern summer they were familiar with.
The children always returned in winter, so this was their first time experiencing a summer visit, making it feel quite novel.
Before leaving Shanghai, they had called Su Weimin, saying they would arrive around the evening. Coincidentally, the package Su Xiaoxiao had mailed from the capital half a month ago also arrived at the post office today.
In the afternoon, Su Zhenhua drove a tractor from the production team to the county to collect pig feed, went to the post office to pick up the package, and waited for Su Xiaoxiao’s family at the station.
After less than half an hour, he saw Su Xiaoxiao’s family coming out of the station.
Su Zhenhua was stunned for a while as he watched Fantuan and Zhuzi, who were carrying big bags, leading the way. He didn’t recognize them immediately. Over the past two years, the boys at home had grown rapidly, but they had been running in the fields every day during the summer, becoming tanned and robust. At first glance, he didn’t recognize these handsome young men from the city.
As they were about to walk past, Su Zhenhua remembered to wave at them. “Fantuan, Zhuzi, over here!”
Fantuan and Zhuzi looked over, their eyes full of surprise, and shouted in unison, “Second Uncle!” Then they strode over like a meteor.
Behind the two older cubs were Xiao Doubao, who was holding onto Xiao Roubao’s hand, and Han Cheng, who was carrying a large suitcase in one hand and holding Su Xiaoxiao’s hand with the other. Su Xiaoxiao, who had it easy, was holding Xiao Tangyuan’s hand.
The children greeted their second uncle cheerfully, and Han Cheng also respectfully called out, “Second Brother.”
Su Xiaoxiao felt a wave of warmth seeing Su Zhenhua and smiled, showing her dimples. “Second Brother, have you been waiting long?”
It had been five or six years since Su Xiaoxiao married Han Cheng. Su Zhenhua never felt like his sister had become a city person because Han Cheng didn’t have the arrogance or sense of superiority typical of city folks. The kids were the same. Later, when Su Xiaoxiao mentioned that Han Cheng was actually from the capital, Su Zhenhua was surprised, realizing that the so-called noble city people in town and county were nothing compared to Han Cheng.
It wasn’t until this meeting that Su Zhenhua, seeing their fashionable attire and the whole family exuding a completely different temperament from the locals, truly felt that his sister’s family were indeed genuine city dwellers.
Compared to Su Xiaoxiao’s friendliness, Su Zhenhua seemed a bit awkward. Shaking his head, he said, “I haven’t waited long, just a little while. The kids have changed so much; I almost didn’t recognize them.”
Su Xiaoxiao replied, “No matter how they change, you’re still their second uncle, right? That won’t change.”
Su Zhenhua paused, then flashed a big smile, revealing his white teeth. “Yes, it’s getting late. Let’s head back. Mom and Dad are waiting at home.”
“I’ll go buy something first,” Han Cheng said.
Su Zhenhua thought of what he was going to do and pulled him, saying, “No need, no need. Mom killed a chicken today, and Dad bought a big fish weighing more than ten pounds. He plans to make a dish with three different flavors. We have plenty of food.”
Han Cheng thought to himself, ‘You don’t understand the appetite of these little wolves. Xiao Roubao alone eats enough for three, and the other two are growing boys with voracious appetites. ‘
After getting on the tractor, Fantuan and Zhuzi couldn’t wait to ask about Da Bao and Xiao Bao’s situation.
However, talking on the tractor with its “full sunroof” was challenging. The wind swallowed up their words, making it hard to hear anything. Fantuan and Zhuzi had to wait until they arrived to continue the conversation.
Children are naturally fond of nature. The kids had always been particularly fond of Sujia Village, and returning in the summer made them even more excited.
In the sweltering summer heat, with the setting sun painting the sky, the children were filled with joy.
Facing the sunset and accompanied by the rumbling sound of tractors, they made their way towards the old Su family home.
