Chapter 4 — You’re Amazing

Seeing the news sent by Shen Fanqi, Shen Muan breathed a sigh of relief. He was glad the other found the contact information.

Shen Muan clapped his hands to attract the attention of the two children who were still playing with the small animals, “We have played long enough with the animals. Go wash your hands and let’s go get a snack.”

Zhizhi, although reluctant still retracted his hands from the animals. As he was about to rub his hands on his clothes, Shen Muan held Zhizhi’s soft arm, “Wash your hands first.”

Zhizhi put down his hands in defeat and ran to the sink near him. He stretched out his hands, put on some soap, and washed until a bunch of bubbles formed. He rubbed his hands obediently under Shen Muan’s gaze.

“Siyuan, you go wash too.” Shen Muan reached out and touched Siyuan’s little hands. “You’ve been playing with the little animals for a long time already. You can come back tomorrow?”

Chu Siyuan was a little unhappy but still let the animal go. He opened his hand holding the little rabbit, put it down, and obediently went to wash his hands.

Chu Yi waited for them to come before leaning in. He looked at Chu Siyuan and asked, “Are you having fun?”

“Humph.” Chu Siyuan turned his head and snorted, not willing to give him any attention. His hand moved, and held onto the corner of Shen Muan’s clothes, he didn’t want to talk to his uncle.

Chu Siyuan still remembered what Chu Yi had done to him these past few days, he still bears a grudge against him!

Shen Muan smiled helplessly, Chu Yi looked accustomed to it, it seemed that the relationship between this uncle and nephew was not very good. Shen Muan didn’t preach to Chu Siyuan right away. He and Chu Siyuan were not very familiar with each other yet, and it would easily arouse children’s resentment if he were to say something rashly.

This will not only fail to better the relationship between the two, but will deepen the enmity.

“Okay, now shall we go eat fruit together?” At this time was the children’s snack time so Shen Muan used this to divert the attention of the two children.

Every morning in the kindergarten, someone would bring fruit. Every day, the fruit was different. When Shen Muan saw the time, he simply took the two little guys to eat with the other children, to prevent them from making trouble again.

The children themselves were very hungry, especially since the two children just had a fierce battle a few moments ago.

“Can you eat fruit? Are you allergic to anything?” In fact, this question should be asked to the parents, but the parents were not here, and Shen Muan thought it wasn’t good to just ask Chu Yi, so he asked the children first. If there are things that cannot be eaten, the parents will usually tell their children, but there is no guarantee that the children will remember them.

“I can’t eat oranges.” Chu Yi said suddenly.

Shen Muan was stunned, looking at Chu Yi blankly for a few seconds, and then smiled: “Okay, I’ll remember. How about Siyuan? Is he allergic to anything?”

Chu Yi stared at Shen Muan. After understanding something, he turned his head in embarrassment. The other person asked the kid and he answered first…

From Shen Muan’s perspective, Chu Yi’s red ears can be seen at a glance. He suddenly felt that the man in front of him was a little cute.

Zhizhi patted his chest, and said very loudly: “I can eat anything! I am not allergic to anything!” Although he doesn’t understand what allergies are, he can indeed eat anything, that’s for sure.

Chu Siyuan looked at Chu Yi at a loss, and Chu Yi also looked at Chu Siyuan. Great, it seems that neither of them knows.

Shen Muan recalled the list he sent last time. “Today’s fruit is a strawberry. Can you all eat it?”

Yes!” Zhizhi replied very cooperatively. His current mood is still similar to when he just arrived. Quite a while has passed, it seems that he is already familiar with the environment. But to think that Zhizhi was sent here wrongly… Shen Muan felt that this matter should be explained by Mr. Fang.

Chu Siyuan nodded, he glanced at Zhizhi disgustingly, thinking that he was too noisy.

Chu Yi didn’t react at all this time, his eyes were a little erratic as if he was still thinking about what happened just now.

After sending the two children to class and dividing the fruit, Shen Muan gave his share of fruit to Chu Yi.

Looking at the smiling young man in front of him, Chu Yi hesitated for a moment, and took it. The two sat outside the classroom, the wind was blowing, everything seemed quiet and beautiful.

Chu Yi also found that he could maintain a very relaxed state around this young man, and according to his observation, this young man was very popular in this kindergarten. Especially with children, almost every child smiles at him.

Such kindergarten may be very suitable for Chu Siyuan.

Chu Yi felt that the choice his father made was quite good. However, to think that Xiao Jiaran would also send the children here, this surprised Chu Yi a little.

Shen Muan looked at the flowers in the garden for a while, when he came back to his senses, he found that the plate of strawberries next to him was already empty. He was a little dumbfounded. Although he gave it to Chu Yi, he didn’t expect the other party to actually eat everything and not leave him a single one.

Chu Yi glanced at the clean plate and then at Shen Mu’s expression, his ears became even redder, although he still looked expressionless, he was very embarrassed inside.

Normally he would never do such a thing, but why does he keep embarrassing himself today? Shen Muan didn’t seem to be angry, but Chu Yi still decided to buy a dozen catties of strawberries tomorrow to give Shen Muan.

“By the way, let’s add each other on WeChat, so it’s easier to contact.” Shen Muan took out his mobile phone. He didn’t want what happened earlier to happen again, it felt too distressing to not be able to contact the parents.

What? To contact?

Chu Yi, who often strikes down conversations, almost subconsciously wanted to refuse, but when he was about to say it, he swallowed it back. Looking at Shen Muan’s face, he silently took out his mobile phone, opened his QR code business number, and added contact information. “Is it done?”

After adding Chu Yi, Shen Muan typed a note, ‘Chu Siyuan’s uncle’, and said briskly, “If anything happens in the kindergarten, I will contact you on WeChat.”

“…” Chu Yi suddenly felt thankful he didn’t say anything, otherwise he would be even more embarrassed.

Shen Muan put away his mobile phone and was about to take Chu Yi to go through the admissions of the kindergarten. As a young man in a red suit rushed over. His face was sweaty, and black strands of hair stuck to his face. Although he was panting a little, his eyes still looked very bright.

“Teacher Shen, I’m sorry…” Fang Xu gasped for a second. “I only found out. I’m so sorry.” Fang Xu blamed all the problems in this matter on himself, yet he was a little grateful. Still, there was some self-blame, he did not know what to say for a while.

“Mr. Fang, I’m sorry, I’m also responsible for this matter. I didn’t clarify the name of the kid who will enter the kindergarten today, so I misunderstood it.” Shen Muan didn’t think this incident was entirely Fang Xu’s fault. Their kindergarten was also responsible. We must never allow this kind of thing to happen again in the future.

Chu Yi grabbed his arms, he did not understand the development of this slip-up, “What happened?”

At this moment, Fang Xu found that Chu Yi, who had been standing next to him, suddenly lift his face, his attitude changed faster than the children in Shen Muan’s class.

Shen Muan wanted to explain, but he was interrupted by Fang Xu before he could say anything.

“I just forgot to go through the formalities for entering the kindergarten. What are you doing here?” As soon as he saw Chu Yi, Fang Xu’s unhappy mood surged.

Chu Yi also felt that this person was irritating: “I was about to do that as well, Teacher Shen, let’s go through the admission procedures.” The last half of the sentence was addressed to Shen Muan.

Fang Xu grabbed Shen Muan’s arm and said, “Me first!”

“…” Shen Mu’an wanted to say something, but Fang Xu pulled him forward.

Fang Xu walked two steps forward and felt resistance. He thought it was Chu Yi who was pulling Shen Mu’an. He turned his head angrily to stop Chu Yi, but found that Chu Yi was standing beside him motionless, and he was still holding Shen Muan’s arm.

Shen Muan easily took his arm back from Fang Xu’s hand: “Mr. Fang, calm down, let’s confirm it first, are you planning to go to our kindergarten now? Has the kindergarten before agreed?”

Fang Xu felt a little guilty when asked by Shen Muan. When he saw Chu Yi, his first thought was that he could not let Chu Yi know that he had sent Zhizhi to the wrong kindergarten. He didn’t think of other matters at all.

Zhizhi stood by the window sill and found that his uncle was there, he stepped onto a small stool and looked out the window: “Uncle, why are you here? I haven’t finished school yet!”

“I…” Fang Xu’s mind went blank. He has always looked a bit fierce, when he looked at Zhizhi in the classroom, the other children who saw him got scared.

A little girl with a double ponytail started crying, pulling the teachers’ clothes, calling the teacher for fear of what the ‘bad guy’ would do.

Crying is contagious.

Especially a child’s crying, it is very easy to cause a chain reaction. Shen Muan felt it at once, he hurriedly went into the classroom to coax the crying little girl.

But it was too late. The children started crying one by one. Although they didn’t know what happened, it didn’t prevent them from crying together.

The cries one after another scared Fang Xu and Chu Yi outside the classroom, both of them looked dumbfounded.

Zhizhi got off the stool and hid behind Shen Muan. He didn’t cry, but he was very nervous, because he has just seen the little girl put her nose on him which frightened him.

Chu Siyuan watched other children crying like watching a play, and found that the little fat man next to him had slowly stopped crying. He even pulled people’s hair, making them cry louder.

Shen Mu’an took a deep breath, put Zhizhi and Chu Siyuan into the arms of their uncles, and then went to resolve the cries that came and went in the classroom.

Chu Yi silently gave Fang Xu a thumbs-up. Although he and Fang Xu didn’t have much to do with each other in particular, he didn’t expect that the other party could suddenly make a whole class of children cry.

“Fang Xu, you’re amazing.”
