Regardless of whether she lives or dies, it’s better to let her be trained by the apocalypse first, so that she can handle things more smoothly when the time comes.
But who will take care of this mess in the meantime?
Chen Luo didn’t want to do it, so he asked Su Dazhu to do it instead while he rested.
Chen Luo definitely felt embarrassed.
Chen Luo then turned his gaze towards… the Thunderbolt King.
“It’s up to you now.”
Chen Luo brought over a few pieces of cloth and a bucket of water, and taught the Thunderbolt King how to pour water and wring the cloth.
“This important task is now entrusted to you, King. Only after you finish can you have your meal.”
“Woof woof.”
The Thunderbolt King was hesitant, but how could it refuse Chen Luo’s command? It was truly a loyal dog.
Su Dazhu said, “Brother Chen, let’s go to the supermarket and get some things.”
With Chen Luo’s armor and stun gun, it would be a breeze.
After a long day, Chen Luo was too tired to bother with the cheap and inferior snacks. He waved his hand and said, “I have something better here. Let’s go upstairs and have a drink.”
Su Dazhu had only eaten two slices of bread and a few snacks. Even before he awakened, it wouldn’t have been enough for him.
At the dinner table, Chen Luo brought out eight dishes one after another: spicy chicken, beer duck, fish in sour soup, braised pork, braised pork knuckle, stir-fried cauliflower, scrambled eggs with green peppers, and home-style tofu.
Chen Luo deliberately placed the spicy chicken in front of Su Dazhu since he knew he loved it. He also brought out two bottles of chilled beer and a large bowl of rice, which was for Su Dazhu since he didn’t like to just eat vegetables.
The fragrant food made Su Dazhu salivate and his eyes widened in amazement. He couldn’t believe it – where did all this food come from?
Su Dazhu asked in disbelief, ” Brother Chen, how did you…?”
Chen Luo smiled and explained, “Dazhu, have you noticed any changes in your body?”
Su Dazhu nodded and said, “This morning, I had a headache and then felt like my strength had increased quite a bit.”
Increased strength was just one of the changes that Su Dazhu experienced. He didn’t know yet that his life force had also significantly increased.
After reaching a higher level, an ordinary dagger could no longer easily pierce through Su Dazhu’s body.
“Actually, I also had that kind of change before the apocalypse happened,” said Chen Luo. “If your change is related to physical strength, then mine is related to space.”
“I suddenly discovered that I can control a bit of spatial power. And since I had a feeling that a disaster was going to happen, I stored some supplies.”
If you were to call it a lie, it wouldn’t be entirely untrue, but it’s not as outrageous as being reborn.
This is something that Chen Luo would use as an explaination to anyone he can trust in the future, not just Su Dazhu.
Su Dazhu nodded, seemingly understanding.
Chen Luo laughed and said, “I also have a feeling that we will become brothers. Come on, let’s not worry about anything else, there’s a whole world out there, and eating is the most important thing.”
Looking at the full table of dishes, Su Dazhu couldn’t help but drool. “There’s too much food, we can’t finish it all. Brother Chen, let’s save some, two or three dishes are enough.”
Chen Luo laughed heartily, “No worries, if we can’t finish it, we still have King who hasn’t eaten yet.”
King, who was cleaning the floor, didn’t seem to care at all. It was used to eating leftover food and even considered it a luxury compared to drinking dirty water during its time as a stray dog.
‘Thank you, Master,’ King said in his heart.
But really, is cleaning the floor something that a dog should be doing?
