The Beginning of Natural Disaster, I Won by Hoarding Tens of Billions of Supplies
The Beginning of Natural Disaster, I Won by Hoarding Tens of Billions of Supplies | Chapter 27: Thanks To President Ba for Providing Supplies

[edited]

Jiang Ning had never eaten pork, but she knew that in the apocalypse, such things were scarce and highly sought after for bartering goods.

“Preventing new life, caring for women.”

Without hesitation, she tossed it into the space, but then immediately thought of something and grabbed a handful to stuff into the black plastic bag.

She didn’t count them specifically, but there should be dozens.

After sweeping the 15th floor, she proceeded to the 14th floor. In the spacious area, there was only one technology information company.

There were hundreds of workstations, as far as the eye could see.

The boss must have made a lot of money, and the employees benefits were quite good. The pantry was filled with good stuff, various expensive snacks, self heating pots for overtime, and the fridge was stacked with steaks, pork chops, and lamb chops. Opening the door though made Jiang Ning almost vomit from the smell.

After sweeping the pantry, she headed towards the boss office.

The boss was probably a person with a strong personality. Just the office alone was several hundred square meters, with an office hall, a reception room, a lounge, and a personal… collection room.

Are all the bosses like this nowadays? Creating a collection room in the office!

The solid collection room aroused Jiang Ning’s interest. She put forth her utmost effort to pry open the door and was instantly shocked by what she saw.

Upon opening the door, she was greeted by an antique bookshelf, with a Tang sword hanging in the center, its scabbard has an intricate patterned and was luxuriously silver plated.

Jiang Ning took it down and unsheathed the sword. The blade gleamed with a cold light; it looked heavy but not heavy in her hand. It was obviously a fine piece. It was easier to use than the butcher’s knife.

She raised her head and swung the sword towards a wooden box and it cuts through it like cutting a tofu.

“…Is this really a sword?” It was simply like a divine weapon.

The antique bookshelf held many antiques: blue and white porcelain vases, hat stands, Mei bottles with colored glaze, apple shaped wine vessels, tripod style stoves, and inkstones.

Jiang Ning didn’t understand these things, but if they were collected by the boss, anything displayed alongside the Tang sword couldn’t be cheap.

From the traces, it seemed to have been eroded by the long years.

In a chaotic world, these valuable antiques, relics of a prosperous era, were worth more than a loaf of bread in the apocalypse.

However, they looked quite pleasing to the eye. Taking them back as decorations would be fine, as they didn’t take up much space.

On the left side of the antique bookshelf hung several paintings and calligraphy works, all by ancient calligraphy masters. Just taking one out would be worth at least seven or eight figures.

However, Jiang Ning noticed that there were many bottles of Maotai liquor piled up in the corner.

First, a five-star brand yellow-glazed porcelain bottles from 1982 that fetch a market price as high as 150,000 yuan per bottle, totaling 10 bottles.

In 2002, Feitian brand also has a packaged of six bottles per box, with each box valued at 70,000 yuan. A complete set comprises of 10 boxes.

Then the Feitian brand, aged 10 years and they offers 12 bottles per box, priced at 80,000 yuan each. The collection consists of a total of 50 boxes.

This was no longer just liquor; it was art.

Jiang Ning thanked President Ba and swept them all into the space.

President Ba was unpredictable and had a wide range of hobbies, with a collection that was diverse. In addition to diamond studded Patek Philippe mechanical watches, there were even a professional high end diving equipment in the brand MTUE. The most expensive limited edition.

When Jiang Ning bought a diving mask, she had researched it; this particular model in front of her was worth 980,000 yuan.

The floods would last for several months, and there was no telling whether natural disasters would cycle again, so she packed these things without any hesitation.

In a transparent glass cabinet, there were Five Star golf clubs.

Jiang Ning had worked summer jobs at a golf course before and knew that this golf club cost up to $180,000, which would be around 1.08 million yuan.

Everything in the collection room was cleared out, not even sparing the antique bookshelf. Everything could be chopped up and used as firewood in the extreme cold.

Additionally, there was an inconspicuous safe in the corner.

A safe that could be placed in a collection room certainly held extraordinary items.

In the lounge’s kitchen, there was a large refrigerator stocked with French foie gras, Wagyu beef, caviar, black truffles, golden abalones, Iberian ham, Lafite from 1982, steaks, salmon, and more.

Not only was the refrigerator fully stocked, but it also had its own battery, keeping all the ingredients fresh.

Apart from thanking the boss, Jiang Ning didn’t want to say anything else. She simply stuffed everything into the space, including the ingredients and the refrigerator.

Both the Tang sword and the golf clubs were the best weapons in the apocalypse. Jiang Ning didn’t want to hide them, so she packed them into a bag and hung it over her shoulder.

The resources on the 14th and 15th floors were abundant, and she collected them meticulously. She didn’t leave a single parcel unchecked, making sure not a single package escaped her grasp.

The 13th floor was a bit more chaotic and it belongs to a high tech incubation base with various new startup companies.

The incubation base was relatively poor, to the point where people had to alternate between wearing the front and back of their pants due to poverty. Jiang Ning couldn’t find much in terms of resources.

Jiang Ning was panting from exhaustion. She ate a few energy bars and continued to pry the door open.

There was a nano fabric company, with a storefront that didn’t seem large, displaying various clothing fabrics. In the center of the sample room, there hung an ordinary yet dependable silver gray autumn coat priced at 198,000 yuan.

Who would buy something like this? Were they truly taking advantage of consumers intelligence by setting such a high price?

With determination, Jiang Ning approached and carefully examined it.

It was a nano temperature controlled coat that maintained a constant temperature of 25 degrees.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ning smashed the glass with a hammer and took the coat in her hand.

It didn’t seem to regulate temperature at all when pressed against her arm.

However, it feels extremely soft and smooth, and it sticks to her skin as if… almost like it wasn’t sticking to her. It resembled silk fabric to some extent.

After rubbing and smelling it, she found it quite breathable.

She decided to take it. Considering its price of 198,000 yuan, she might as well take it back to try it on.

If it weren’t for the apocalypse, she wouldn’t have had the chance to wear something so expensive.

She collected all the fabrics and found ten rolls of temperature controlled fabric in the sample warehouse. These could be used to make close fitting underwear, which seemed like a good idea.

Only half of the 13th floor had been searched when Zhang Chao finished his work and came over to help.

When he saw the Tang sword and golf clubs on her back, his eyes nearly popped out, and it took him a while to give her a thumbs up. “You’re awesome!”

“Just got lucky to stumble upon them.”

It was already dark, and they needed to speed up. Jiang Ning urged him to go downstairs and load the rubber boat with the supplies.

Zhang Chao was exhausted, but he obediently complied.

Collecting things in the dark wasn’t easy. Jiang Ning was exhausted and couldn’t straighten her back, but she persist, gritting her teeth for a better life in the apocalypse.

Before long, Lu Yu also came to help, and their group made quite a haul.

After a quick assessment, they realized that they couldn’t finish loading everything alone, especially since the supplies were heavy and the rubber boat was likely too heavy to drag.

They sent Lu Yu to help with the supplies while they took out the packed motorboat from the space and grabbed a bucket of 5 liters of gasoline.

With a clear path ahead, Jiang Ning realized she now need her own motorboat for the future.

There wasn’t much on the 13th floor. Jiang Ning dragged the cumbersome boxes outside. “Lu Yu, come see what I found! A motorboat, hahaha!”

Lu Yu’s eyes widened in shock. “Anning, you’re just too lucky, aren’t you?”

“Yeah, it seems like it was bought by a water sports enthusiast, and they unexpectedly sold it to me cheap.” She tried to act nonchalant.

It was dark, so Lu Yu couldn’t see her expression clearly. He shared the news with Zhang Chao as they moved things. “Chao, Anning found a motor boat.”

With this addition, there were now two motorboats and three rubber boats on the 18th floor, representing a considerable gain of assets.

“It’s just that we don’t have enough gasoline. I doubt we can go very far.”

“No worries, we’ll figure out a way to collect the gasoline later. We can go anywhere we want in the future.”

The four of them worked together to move all the supplies to the 5th floor.

After clearing out a whole building, they found quite a lot of supplies.

They couldn’t even finish moving everything in one trip, let alone two…
