Chapter 6 – Cats and Cubs

Shen Muan felt exhausted today. As kindergarten ended, Zhizhi cried tearfully while holding onto Shen Muan’s leg. Children usually cried because they don’t want to go to school, but this one cries because he doesn’t want to go home.

Hearing this cry, everyone in the kindergarten now knew that there was a new child in Rose Class. The child liked Teacher An An so much that he was reluctant to go home.

In the end, Fang Xu had no choice but to drag Zhizhi to him with a dark expression.

Walking away, Zhizhi looked just like a princess captured by an evil dragon, hoping that his Teacher An An could save him.

But his teacher An An didn’t want to save him. Most of the children next to him were almost gone, and Zhizhi was the only one who had been trying to stall from leaving.

Shen Muan sent the princess and dragon away with a smile on his face, he was finally somewhat at peace. But at this time, he felt someone pulling his pants. He looked down and found that it was Chu Siyuan.

“Siyuan, what’s the matter?” Shen Muan asked.

Chu Siyuan suddenly hugged Shen Muan’s legs and tried to climb up. Shen Muan seeing what the child was trying to do, quickly picked him up. How could this child be like a cat, liking to pull his trousers so much?

It seems that he has to wear a pair of pants with a belt tomorrow.

Chu Siyuan quietly said in Shen Muan’s ear: “Can I run away from home and go to your house?” Shen Muan looked at the child, somewhat baffled, “Why do you want to run away so suddenly?”

Chu Siyuan got closer, Shen Muan could clearly feel the child’s breath on his neck, he couldn’t help but shrink back, feeling a little itchy.

After listening to Chu Siyuan’s reason, Shen Muan felt a little surprised, but it wasn’t entirely unexpected. After all, judging from the relationship between Chu Yi and Chu Siyuan, the nephew and uncle clearly did not like each other very much.

“Even so, you can’t run away from home.” Shen Muan tried to reason with Chu Siyuan, but then a call came.

He took out his cell phone and found that it was Chu Yi calling.

“Hey…” Shen Muan just opened his mouth but was interrupted by the other line.

“Teacher Shen, It’s Chu Yi. I’m sorry I have something urgent to deal with. I won’t be able to pick up Chu Siyuan right now. Can you take care of him for a bit?” Chu Yi spoke quickly, he seemed very anxious.

Shen Muan glanced at the little guy in his arms, “Then I will take Siyuan to my home for a meal. I will send you my address on WeChat. You can just come to my house to pick him up when it’s time.”

“Okay, thank you very much.” Hearing Shen Muan’s words, Chu Yi felt a lot more relieved. He hung up the phone, took the tissue from his assistant, and wiped off the blood on his hand.

“Your wish to run away from home has been fulfilled.” Shen Muan put the phone away, patted Chu Siyuan’s butt, and asked, “What do you want to eat tonight?”

Hearing the content of the call, Chu Siyuan was pleased. He shook his short legs and began to think seriously about what to eat.

Chu Siyuan’s expression was extremely serious, people who didn’t know would think he was deliberating about some important issues.

After sending away the other children from the kindergarten, Shen Muan finally left work. He usually rides a bicycle to get home, but today there is an extra Chu Siyuan, and he does not have a special seat for children. He can’t just hold Chu Siyuan while riding.

“Why don’t we exchange bikes for today, there is a chair behind mine that kids can sit on,” said Teacher Chen from the Sunflower class next door, who saw that he was a little conflicted.

Behind Teacher Chen’s bicycle, there was a special seat for children, usually used by her daughter.

“Then what about your daughter?” Shen Muan asked.

Teacher Chen felt a headache when thinking of the little demon in her own house: “She doesn’t like this anymore, let me go get it, I haven’t removed it yet.” After that, Teacher Chen took her bike out of a row of bicycles. She pushed out a pink bicycle with stickers, that many children liked.

Shen Muan and Chu Siyuan hesitated, looking at the pink bicycle of Teacher Chen and the sticker on it.

“Or, shall we walk back?” Shen Muan looked at Chu Siyuan and said in a low voice.

Chu Siyuan nodded frantically. He didn’t like Teacher Chen’s bicycle at all.

Shen Muan simply rejected Teacher Chen’s help, saying that they were planning to go shopping nearby anyway and walk back slowly.

Teacher Chen was a little confused at first, but when her eyes fell on her bike and Shen Muan’s bicycle, she knew the reason immediately. She endured a knowing smile as she watched the young man and the child leave.

With Chu Siyuan in his arms, Shen Muan walked out of the kindergarten relieved. It’s not that Teacher Chen’s bicycle isn’t good, but as a boy, it feels a bit weird to use such a girly bicycle.

Chu Siyuan simply felt that pink was something girls use, so he didn’t want to ride that bicycle.

“Have you thought about what to eat tonight?” Shen Muan held Chu Siyuan in one hand. He originally wanted Chu Siyuan to come down and walk by himself, but it was really tiring to bend over and hold the child’s hands, so he just ended up hugging him in his arms. Forget it, children didn’t weigh much anyway.

Chu Siyuan shook his head, and for a while, he really didn’t know what to eat.

“Then let’s go to the vegetable market together. If you see anything you want to eat, tell me.” Shen Muan took out his mobile phone and sent a text message to his brother, he took Chu Siyuan to the vegetable market near his home.

This is the first time Chu Siyuan came to this kind of place, he was curious about everything as he looked around, pointing to a booth selling fish, he suddenly shouted: “Cat!”

Shen Muan looked over and smiled: “That cat is raised here in the market, do you want to go over and take a look? But you can’t touch it.”

“Yes!” Chu Siyuan nodded immediately.

Shen Muan put Chu Siyuan down and led him to the front of the fish stall.

Outside the glass tank, a chubby orange cat stared at the fish through the glass, looking very eager. The boss of the stall was playing with his mobile phone next to him, regardless of whether the cat was eager he didn’t care.

When Shen Muan and Chu Siyuan came over, the boss looked up and saw that it was only a child, and continued to play with their mobile phone.

This orange cat squats next to his stall every day, it often attracts children.

Chu Siyuan stood behind the orange cat, and the orange cat squatted there calmly. The cat wagged its tail a few times, he was not afraid even if people came.

Chu Siyuan looked at the orange cat and then at the glass tank. He was very curious about what the orange cat was looking at. If you want to eat fish, then why won’t you move.

Chu Siyuan moved his position, trying to reach the same height as the orange cat, and also stared at the glass tank.

Shen Muan found this very interesting, so he took a picture and sent it to Chu Yi.

Chu Yi, who was dealing with things on the construction site, felt his phone vibrate. As soon as he turned it on, he saw the photo sent by Shen Muan. His mood immediately became much better.

‘So cute.’

Chu Yi replied a message and put away his mobile phone. It’s time for him to deal with the reporters…
