Accidentally Entangled with the Rich
Accidentally Entangled with the Rich Chapter 3.1

The man towered over Shiguang and starred down at her with bottomless pit black eyes causing her to cower in fear.

After a minute of silence, she started plotting her escape. This man looks sketchy as well. It’s like choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Shiguang attempted to give him a brave smile.

“Just one man, bro.” The gangsters glanced at each other and turned around. “Brother—”

Meng Yungui, the man in black, narrowed his eyes before coldly admonishing them to get lost.

Shiguang took a huge step back and almost ran away herself.

“Who the hell do you think you’re talking to?” The leader mocked as the gangsters whipped out their iron bars and aimed them at Yungui. Shiguang took the opportunity to speak to the police on the line. “There are hooligans killing people at the gate of the KTV on Zhoushan road!”

Afraid of the police not taking the call seriously, she exaggerated the situation.

After ending the call, she bumped into the man in black who glared at her with dark soulless eyes as she raised her head. She quickly retracted in fear and started running away. Run!

“Shiguang!” Wangmei’s voice came from a distance: “Where are you?”

“Ah! Help! I’m here!”

“Fuck! She got away, bro!”

Yungui raised his leg and kicked the man with the iron bar who was thrown half a meter across the parking lot. His kick was very swift and ruthless. All that could be heard was the clanking of the iron bar. Not a single moan could be heard from the man as he laid motionless on the ground. He was out cold. Yungui raised his chin and stared at the remainder of the gang. They came at him in full force with their weapons. The rod swinged past Yungui’s cheek barely missing him. As soon as he grabbed a hold of the gangster’s wrist, he turned around and broke it with his knee.

The scream was ear-piercing as Yungui tossed him to the side.

Glancing at the rest, Yungui took out a cigarette case from his pocket. Leisurely took one out, held it in his mouth, lit it, and took a deep breath. Once certain that no one was going to retaliate, he turned around and strode away towards the International Club nearby, disappearing from view.

“There is a fight over there!” Shiguang met Wangmei, panting.

“What’s going on? Speak slowly. Who’s fighting? Shall we help?”

Chen and the others were walking towards them. No wonder Wangmei took so long. It was likely that they came out together. But Shiguang couldn’t calm down. She was afraid that the man in black would be beaten to death. “I just came out and met a few gangsters looking for trouble—”

“Over there?”

Chen stepped forward and grabbed her arm: “Are you okay?”

“Yes… someone helped me.” Shiguang shrugged him off, frowning. “Please help! Go over there and check the situation.”

Who could refuse a damsel in distress? Several people hurried towards the direction.

“Them?” Chen pointed at the people standing behind the parking lot.

Two were lying like ragged dolls on the ground and the remaining three ran off when they saw people coming their way.

“What happened?” Shiguang looked around nervously.

“One is seriously injured. The other one is unconscious. Is one of them the guy who rescued you?”

She hurriedly checked the two injured people. “Neither.”

“Then let’s go. I don’t want to be involved.”

“That’s right.” Xiaomei agreed. “We don’t know if these two will make it. It’s none of our business. Let’s just leave.”

Shiguang walked away with her friends but continued to glance around for the mane. Five people were there and two were injured. What happened to him? Wangmei pulled her to the car only to realize that her hands were shaking horribly. “It’s okay, come on.”

Chen brought them to their dormitory. Xiaomei wanted to say a few more words to Chen but he waved and left abruptly.

“Wang Mei, what was that today?”

Xiaomei demanded in fury. “You purposely humiliated me? Are you shameless?”

“What are you talking about? You insisted on inviting us to dinner so we went. How am I shameless? What you’re saying right now that’s shameless.”

“You’re just a spinster who can’t find a match!”

Shiguang wasn’t in the mood to participate in their bickering so she headed upstairs quietly.
